Formed in Montgomery County, Md. in 2011, Dale and the ZDubs (DZD) delivers reggae with a hard-hitting rock style. Since their formation, the band has recorded a self-titled EP as well as two full-length albums, with the most recent, Clear the Smoke, released in 2014.
In addition to winning the 2012 Jammin’ Java Mid-Atlantic Band Battle, DZD have opened for several nationally recognized acts, including Badfish, Big Something, Larry Keel, Pacific Dub, Ballyhoo, Fear Nuttin Band and Con Bro Chill. Among the venues they have played include Rams Head Live Baltimore, The Fillmore Silver Spring, The Virginia State Theatre, DC’s Rock & Roll Hotel, New York City’s Arlene’s Grocery, and Seacrets in Ocean City, Md.
