The New Jersey Capital Philharmonic Orchestra (NJCPO) was founded in 2013 under the visionary leadership of internationally acclaimed conductor, Daniel Spalding. After living in Trenton, N.J. for 25 years, Spalding teamed up with a group of passionate local musicians and dedicated civic leaders to bring this new orchestra and organization to life. With a deep love for classical music and a belief that music has the power to improve the lives of individuals and their communities, Spalding and his team have taken on the ambitious mission of returning classical music to Central New Jersey.
Together they are moving into the future with great optimism and the hope that NJCPO's symphonic orchestral concerts will infuse new life into the capital's business center, strengthen the cultural fabric of their great city and engage and inspire Central New Jersey's diverse communities. In future years, NJCPO looks to further its mission by partnering with public schools in the region to enhance their music education programs.
